So you're having a purchase error in Apollo ☹️

Thank you for trying to purchase something, awesome person. This is an iTunes error and should be an easy fix, with a few different ways to solve it within a few minutes! 😀

If the error code and message that iOS gave is helpful, it's a good place to start. Otherwise, read below!

1. Reboot Your Device

Reboot and retry purchase. In a lot of cases, this is all it takes! 🎉

2. Payment Info Correct?

This error can occur when something's wrong with your Payment Info.

Go into the Settings app on your homescreen
Scroll down and tap iTunes & App Store
Tap on your Apple ID
Tap View Apple ID
Sign in
Tap Payment Information
Ensure all payment information is correct and filled out, then tap Done

Now reattempt the purchase. If it didn't work…

3. Sign in and out

Go into the Settings app on your homescreen
Scroll down and tap iTunes & App Store
Tap on your Apple ID
Tap on Sign Out
Sign back in!

Let's reattempt the purchase now! If it still didn't work…

4. Restrictions

Let's see if you have any iOS Restrictions enabled.

Go into the Settings app on your homescreen
Tap on General
Tap on Restrictions
If you don't have Restrictions enabled, you're done, but if you do, make sure the settings around iTunes and App Store are all enabled (set to on)

5. Nuclear Option

Okay, this is the nuclear option but virtually always works.

Delete Apollo from homescreen
Go to Settings app and sign out of iTunes (under iTunes & App Store)
Restart your iOS device
Go to Settings app and sign back into iTunes
Redownload Apollo from App Store
Attempt purchase again

If there's still nothing, send me an email through the app with what Apollo says as an error message and I'll take a look personally.

6. Getting “Purchase Could Not Be Completed”?

We've tried all the simple solutions, but sometimes the only solution is to send a short message (you can copy and paste text from below) to iTunes Support to get them to enable it on their end. Normally caused by a little bug, but it's very easy and quick for them to fix.

Go to https://getsupport.apple.com/
Tap Apps & Software
Tap App Store
Tap Subscriptions & Purchases
Tap "Contact iTunes Store Support to complete this transaction" alert (top-right)
Tap Email

Fill out the form. If the "Operating system" options don't apply to you, just choose the first option. Don't worry about the Order number. You can copy and paste this into the "details" field to make it faster:
